Picking a baby name is one of the most important things for parents and it’s easy to make a mistake. Fortunately, there are experts out there to lend a helping hand.

For boys, Hebrew names are going to be all the rage. Jack, Noah and Jacob are set to be popular in 2018, along with royal names like Harry and William.

Predictions for the trendiest baby names of 2018 reveal that the name of Prince Harry’s fiancé, Meghan, is climbing up the list, according to The Sun.

Mother & Baby says on their website: “Looking ahead to 2018, the trend for choosing comfortably familiar names, with or without a twist, is definitely going to continue.”

The top name for baby girls this year is once again Amelia – topping the list for the sixth year in a row.

Oliver has proved to be an old favourite and has remained at the top of the boys’ list since 2013.

In 2016, the top five names for boys were: Oliver, Muhammad, Noah, Harry and Jack. For girls it was: Olivia, Lily, Sophia, Emily and Amelia.

The most unloved monikers of 2017 for baby girls, according to Baby Centre, included names such as Bertha, Gail and Donna. Boys’ names such as Clarence, Frank and Roger are on the “endangered names list” too.
