"I've heard so many bad stories about c-section"

accreditation

At 38 weeks pregnant my gynae decided that at 39 weeks he would induce me due to him being worried about my baby's weight. At 39 weeks I went into hospital to be induced. I arrived at 7pm and got settled. I was induced at 9pm using 2 tablets that was inserted near my cervix.

At 3am the next morning, another 2 tablets were inserted. I was only 1cm dilated. At 7am my gynae came to check up on me and inserted yet another 2 tablets. I was having mild contractions but not dilating. I was told that if my son wasn't born by 11am that I would need to go for c-section.

I wasn't thrilled because I wanted to give natural birth and had heard so many bad stories about c-section. But MJ was born via c-section at 12h03 on the 21 December 2011, weighing 3.11kg and absolutely gorgeous.

My experience with c-section was not as bad as I expected and would do it again, although I wouldn't willingly go for induction again. I was up and walking again the day after my son was born and the pain was bearable just a little uncomfortable.
