Going into labour on New Year's Eve can be exciting! Your baby could be the very last newborn of the year. Or the very first! These moms were left with an equally exciting and strange outcome.
According to Mail Online, Yaleni Santos Tohalino, a first-time mom gave birth to her twins merely 3 minutes apart. Those 3 minutes were all it took for them to be born in different years. At 11:58pm on the 31st of December 2013, little Lorraine was born. A few minutes later at 12:01am on the 1st of January 2014, Brandon was born.
As amazing as it may seem, another mom had the same experience according to CTV News.
Over in Toronto, Lindsay Salgueiro gave birth to the last baby of 2013 at Mississauga’s Credit Valley Hospital and the first baby of 2014. Her fraternal twin daughters, Gabriela and Sophia, were born 8 minutes apart. Sophia just missed being born in 2013 as she arrived only 38 seconds after midnight.
