Man eats placenta in taco and a smoothie
Which would you eat, afterbirth curry or placenta pizza?
Kids of all ages know that the best way to neutralise the taste of some foods is to drown them in tomato sauce. You have to wonder if there is any treatment which would make eating placenta acceptable.

Take this new father: Straight after his child’s birth, he requested the placenta. Then, according to Huffington Post, he made a taco and a (raw!) smoothie out of it.

He revealed that the smoothie tasted like the smell of the delivery room and the taco tasted like brisket on his blog.

The most common way for the placenta to be ingested, if that’s your thing, is to have it ground up and placed in capsules. The jury is out on whether or not placental ingestion has any benefits to the mother (or father) that eats it.

You have to admire his willingness to connect with his family and his inventiveness in his recipes.

His actions may prompt new parents to try the same, although the general reaction is one of revulsion.
