These identical twins never thought they’d give birth on the same day!
Bao Kou Julie Yang and Bao Nhia Julia Yang’s due dates were two days apart but both went into labour on the same day, 4 November, Hollywood Unlocked reports.
Bao Kou welcomed her first child, Nadalie Xiong, less than an hour before Bao Nhia gave birth to her third child, Candra Thao, at the Fresno Community Regional Medical Centre in California, US.
“We both weren’t expecting this, to say the very least,” Bao Kou said. “I was definitely in shock, but I was happy for the both of us. It’s really a miracle.”
After giving birth the 23-year-old twins shared a hospital ward, People reports.
“After birth . . . they asked us if we wanted to share a room since we’re twins,” Bao Kou said.
The much-welcomed births came after both sisters had suffered miscarriages within months of each other.
“My sister and I went through miscarriages together and that definitely brought us closer,” Bao Kou said. “Being able to see her, being able to have her be there and keeping me together after our miscarriages was something that was very important to me.”
She said although being a first-time mom wasn’t easy her sister had valuable advice for her, ABC 7 reports.
Said Bao Nhia, “She’s going to need a lot of rest because the baby will be crying.”
