With a click of a button you can let all your Facebook friends know that you're in a relationship. It's broadcast far and wide but sometimes, relationships just don't work out. Then you're left to update your status thus giving fodder to the ever churning gossip machine. Now Facebook has rolled out a feature where you can add family members to your profile including your unborn baby.
Facebook included this feature in response to people who would create profiles for their foetuses and then carry on the kid's profile after they were born, violating Facebook's under 13 age restriction.
But is this such a great idea? The is the sad reality that miscarriages happen. And when that happens it's not something you'd like broadcast to the entire world. It's a deeply personal period to go through and one that you'd prefer to keep close to home.
