One of life’s most awesome moments for Adele has been marred by an outpouring of filthy, vicious Tweets targeting the singer and her new baby, in a mystifying campaign of cyber-bullying, reports the Daily Mail.

Adele, who gave birth on Friday 19 October, was on the receiving end of ugly Tweets such as:
@PerfFemale: Aw Adele gave birth to a baby :,) is it fat and Handicapped lol just murder it already lol (sic).
That Tweet wasn’t isolated, either: Other Twitter users said things such as 'I’ll go see her in the UK and kill her', while another retweeted the message, adding: 'And kill her baby.'
Some wrote that Adele would have more material to write about if she suffered from post-natal depression, or if her son died, while others said they hadn't realised Adele was pregnant because she is overweight.
Adele has a verified Twitter account, @OfficialAdele, although she seldom Tweets- looking at the hatred she’d encounter, we can understand why. It seems that trolls and cyber-bullies are prepared to use any excuse to insult and provoke.
Social media policing is on the rise
The Twitter insults are ugly, but online communities and even police are becoming less tolerant; two weeks ago a UK man was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for making inflammatory comments on a Facebook page dedicated to a missing child.
We wish Adele and her partner Simon Konecki well with their new baby boy.
