For many expectant mothers, pregnancy often brings a heightened awareness of their bodies. Some women fret about the physical changes, while others choose to celebrate that they are carrying a child and that the added curves enhance their self-image. Although it’s not everyone’s style, some moms are choosing to have sultry maternity boudoir photo shoots to share with family and friends on social media.

A search using “#maternityboudoir” or “#pregnancyboudoir” on a social media site such as Instagram reveals hundreds of pregnant women celebrating their bodies. Some opt for a natural look, while others are brave enough to go with sexy lingerie (and not very much of that!).
