Baby showers are often themed around pink or blue, as a way to celebrate the little boy or girl who will soon be joining us.
But an increasing number of parents are opting to go 'gender neutral', if they reveal the baby's gender at all (you must read: 'Inventor' of the gender reveal party says they're now cancelled) and then the colour scheme is often grey, white or soft pastel shades.
Others, however, take the 'neutral' concept to to extremes, as Khloe Kardashian demonstrated with the baby shower she just threw for her bestie Malika.
The pics are stunning, but also so very nude, with many shades of brown and beige.

A brown baby shower
The Kardashians are known for throwing the most lavish and over the top parties, and Malika's baby shower was no different. Even the guest respected the theme and wore various shades of nudes, neutrals... and plenty of beige.
I admit at first I was unsure of the colour scheme, but as you go through these pictures you realise how beautiful and calming it is. And there is something cosy about the combination of the nude colours.

Gender neutral?
Gender neutral everything is increasingly popular, as more parents do away with the "stereotype" gender assigned colours for anything involving babies. Some have even coined the term 'theyby' to create awareness (even though the word baby is already gender neutral).
Was Malika's baby shower based on that though?

I don't think so, because she did announce that her and baby daddy OT are expecting a baby boy. Perhaps, for this complicated couple, the dynamics of gender and sexuality are not straight forward...
