Happy Mother's Day to all bumps
As soon–to–be moms, one of the days you can look forward to, besides the day your little one arrives, is your first Mother’s Day. Unlike your birthday or an anniversary, this day lets you celebrate being a mom.
Everyone talks about the miracle of a baby being born, but what many forget to mention is that there are so many other miracles at play here. The fact that you are creating this amazing child inside you is something that you should celebrate everyday.
Seriously, it’s not an easy job, and on this Mother’s Day, take a moment to realise just what a miracle YOU are. Being a mom is a big job, but it’s worth it – just ask your mom. Have a look at our Then and Now article on page 30, which shows that no matter how differently the past generations approached parenting, we all have one thing in common: we do the best we know how to for our children.
Being a good mom starts when you are pregnant, but overcoming the cravings and tiredness to eat healthily and exercise regularily is no walk in the park. For this reason, we’ve given you nutritional advice on how to eat better on a budget and everyday exercises you can do to keep yourself fit and ready for birth – without having to make a trip to the gym.
We also haven’t forgotten about our reader’s who are preparing to fall pregnant. We truly believe that the more you know, the better your chances are, so take our quiz on page 18 to get a step ahead of infertility issues.
Another thing you may look forward to are the winter months approaching, when you can wrap up and be cosy – so while you prepare your wardrobe, you can also boost your immune system. Check out our natural ways to do this on page 66.
For this next stage in your life, keep your head up, your bump out and pat yourself on the back (if you can reach it!)
