The things we miss most about pregnancy
Pregnancy isn’t all heartburn and stress, admit these Parent24 moms.
Over the years we have discussed so many of the stressful, painful and fearful moments of pregnancy. It would be easy to think that, for many women, a pregnancy is nine months of physical and emotional hell. We forget that growing a human can also be a marvellous experience. We asked moms on Facebook to share what they miss most about being pregnant.
Here are their answers:
The end of the diet
Tumisho: I miss eating midnight without having to worry about getting fat. And her kicks- I loved watching my tummy and feeling her move.
Stephanie: EATING LOL
Thandazile: Eating for two LoL
Desmareen: My belly.
MeeA: The feeling of connectedness with my baby...
Janine: I miss having her in my tummy and close to me, the intimate "life creation" feeling and of course ... not having to suck my stomach in and rather pushing it out proudly !
Lebogang: I miss the bond we had in my tummy with my little boy...the kicking, mostly the dancing when I played my fave song.
Christine: The relationship you build up with your baby in your tummy, the movement, the kicking, hiccups! I loved all four of my pregnancies.
Angela: The closeness, you get to take your angel EVERYWHERE you go. Miss the kicks after I've eaten. Oh and another nice thing, she never cried at night lol.
The kick inside
Debbie: Feeling her move inside my belly Miss that so much!
Geraldine: The kicking of the child.
Angela: feeling the movement of baby and being able to talk to him whenever I want to.
Ursula: Just feeling my baby kicking inside me wow that was a wonderful experience indeed.
Tshepo: Getting what u want when u just snap your finger.
Tsholofelo: The kicks and being spoiled rotten.
Lebogang: The feeling of being "tickled" from the inside of my tummy and my husband having to tie my shoelaces!
Ursula: Feeling movement, the excitement of the count down, finding out the gender and the monthly scans.
Linda: Knowing my baby is just the right temperature, is eating enough and is safe. I have Hyperemesis Gravidarum for the 3rd time (3rd pregnancy). I've been hospitalised 5 times already (this pregnancy alone) and I know for a fact I'll miss being pregnant.
Zinhle: I miss all that unthinkable mixture of food i craved, made and eat just thinking about it now makes me see how uneatable they are now. And the kicks they were unbelievably amazing
Pregnancy? No, thanks!
Alison: Nothing. Not made for pregnancy.
Charmaine: Don't miss anything. I wasn't one of those 'glowing' preggy moms! Did not enjoy being pregnant both times.
Stephanie: I miss nothing about being pregnant hehe.
