Whether you’re a royal or a princess of popular culture, you’ll be used to the constant camera flashes whenever you head to the beach, chill in the club or get out of a cab. But when you’re pregnant, should the paparazzi leave you alone?
The public has a right to know... right?
UK TV channel ITV has had to apologise to royals William and Kate after flashing pics of a pregnant Kate in a bikini on screen, according to the Daily Mail- the Daily Mail in return coming under fire from actress Evan Rachel Wood, who slammed the tabloid for blowing up (now removed) pictures they’d bought of her looking at her unborn baby’s ultrasound- pictures taken while she was in a parking lot.
The perils of social media
In the UK, royals are supposed to enjoy respectful privacy, but there’s a demand for pictures of a royal bump. Commentators suggest that other celebs make their money from their fame, and should just shut up and endure the attention. Some celebs retaliate by sharing their own private pictures via social media such as Twitter or Instagram.
Evan took to Twitter to express her disgust: “Which sick f*** paparazzi hid in the parking lot of my hospital after my ultrasound. I can’t stand this.”
“That’s my child. It’s not even out of the womb and they are snapping photos of it. I am getting out of LA. People have no hearts.”
She continued: “had never been more violated by a photographer... That’s the inside of my body and my child. Would you like my soul too? Nothing is sacred.”
