Why are my wrists sore?
Now that you’re pregnant, you suddenly have aches and pains after a day at work. What’s going on?
Between the piles, the nausea and the backache, pregnancy can have some pretty weird symptoms. So it’s no surprise that your wrist pain could also be related to pregnancy changes.
If you have numbness, tingling, burning, and pain in your wrist and into the hand, it could be carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel is fairly common in pregnancy and can be very painful.
If your symptoms are severe, you may want to ask your doctor what your options are for pain relief.
Carpal tunnel symptoms will probably go away after the birth of your baby, just like swelling in other parts of your body. If you continue to experience numbness and pain in wrists and hands after you give birth, see your doctor.
