Avocado and hot sauce? Soil? Nope, this pregnant mom craved roadkill.

Alison Brierley is a professional artist and taxidermist and she's quite used to handling roadkill. Once she fell pregnant, her 'love' for roadkill took on a new dimension when she started craving it.

I've heard of some disgusting cravings, like cat food or raw rice but never have I heard of someone wanting roadkill.

Alison told Mail Online, "Usually I eat really healthily but now I'm pregnant I get strong cravings for roadkill. It's more gamey than other meat and I love the taste."

How does she know what it tastes like? Alison and her husband, Marcus Speer, admit to having eaten roadkill before and they've even tried venison.

Weird cravings

I took to Facebook and asked our fans what their weird cravings were. Here's some of their strange cravings.

[I loved] Marmite on everything. I used it like tomato sauce. Smeared it on pizza, cooked with it and would mix it with water to drink it. - Tracy Smith

Golden syrup in boerewors! - Estelle van Rensburg

I chewed clothes with all my pregnancies. - Lulama Mdlikiva
