Pater Familias

Are you the Pater Familias kind of dad?

You see yourself as the head of your family, with the responsibility that comes with it. You would prefer your wife to stay at home throughout her pregnancy, and to be a stay-at-home mother. She can count on you to carry heavy stuff, hang up the washing (your mother says your wife mustn’t lift her hands above her head when she’s pregnant) and cook simple meals.

You’ve already built shelves in the nursery and you are researching suitable schools in your area. You will probably be attending the birth, although quite honestly you’d prefer not to see that. But you believe in doing the right thing, and everyone seems to think you should be at the birth.

In a hospital. With a doctor.

Typical Pater Familas: Tom Cruise.
