Things I missed during my pregnancy

Our Facebook moms share the things they missed the most while they were pregnant.

As pregnant women, we're restricted in a lot of the things we can do and eat. As soon as you see those two lines on the test, your doctor will advice you not to consume certain things and to avoid certain activities. Goodbye, coffee, sushi, smoking and alcohol. Ice skating and horse riding are also not advised. In a world where a pregnant woman can get injured just by tripping over her own feet (it happened to me) I can see how you would avoid certain things.

We asked our Facebook moms what they missed during their pregnancies and this is what they had to say:

Seeing my toes and cutting my toe nails! - Noha Schroeder-Gamildien

Sleeping on my back & tummy - Tefo Mokhutshwane

Oysters. Wine. Sashimi. Charcuterie. Blue cheese. Steak tartare. And sleeping on my back. - Vibeke Christensen

Coke - Nelvia Nelz Phala

My wine and my ciggies!! - Natanie Slabbert

Sleeping on my belly! - Presandra Saktu

Coffee - Matema Malatji

Steam room - Sibongile Qayiso

Being able to eat without feeling nauseous. I had Hiperemesis Gravidarum and was sick with both pregnancies throughout (and hospitalised numerous times). - Linda Nel

Turning in my sleep - Dani Tamblyn-Watts

Cheesecake! (Because of the unpasteurised cheese) - Kim Rautenbach

Seafood - Stephanie Guruviah Da Silveira
