3-year-old girl donates her hair to cancer patients
Three-year-old girl really gets the meaning of 'hair care' in her support of cancer patients.

When it was time for three-year-old Emily’s first haircut she decided to donate her hair to a wig shop affiliated with the Canadian Cancer Society.

Her parents, Richard and Amy, had explained to her that cancer is a sickness and that kids who suffer from it sometimes lose their hair. They told Emily that there is a way she can help them.

"One cut for me, and one for Dolly"

Emily was excited to “share her hair”, but she had one condition: Her uncle Matthew, who owns a hair salon, must cut her doll Dolly’s hair too.

In the video Emily says: "Sometimes kids get sick and their hair falls out. That's really, really sad. I want to give them my hair, because I have more and more hair."

Read more about the experience in Amy’s blog post and watch the adorable video below.

Would you encourage your child to give away their hair or donate blood?
