For babies that love their dummies it’s a good idea to keep aside those you don’t normally use (novelty gifts, first sizes). Buy time with these fascinating distractions as your children enjoy testing and trying each one (ideally over 6 months - sterilise for younger babies). Otherwise keep a select few toys just for this purpose – the novelty alone will be a winning strategy.
