This activity will inpsire your child's creativity and give him a sense of responsibilty, thereby strengthening his  self-worth.

It is a lot of fun to potter around in the garden. Keep your toddler busy by creating his own special area in the garden to tend to, giving him the chance to engage with nature.

• Buy a tray of seedlings and teach your child how to plant and feed them
• The stores are full of gardening tools for little ones. You can also buy plastic toys to be used in the garden
• Remember that even though this activity will give you more time in the garden, supervision will be rquired
