Make your own paint
Making your own paint sounds like hard work, but with this easy tips you'll find it quite a breeze.

With summer holidays around the corner it can get expensive to stock up on art goods to keep the kids occupied.

Make your own finger-paint with ingredients that you already have in the pantry.

In a saucepan, mix ½ a cup of Maizena with 2 cups of water. Stir the mixture while bringing to the boil. Leave to simmer until thick and transparent. Take off the heat and colour with food colouring.

Pour into containers and let it cool down. Once the paints are cool, give your tot some paper and let him express his creativity. Some newspaper or black bags on the floor will catch the mess.

Finger-painting is a great way to give your toddler's fine-motor skills a good workout.
