Not all children are able to walk, but, with this incredible invention created by a mom for her child, small kids that have been unable to get around in the usual way can have their mobility transformed.

The perfect dance

According to the Huffington Post, Debby Elnatan came up with the concept for the Firefly Upsee when it became difficult to help her son Rotem to walk. Rotem has cerebral palsy. What she has designed is ingenious: a harness that allows kids to be strapped vertically and facing forwards onto their parents’ feet. It works in the way that some parents teach their kids to dance by having them gain mobility by allowing their feet to move together. The harness is linked to specially designed sandals worn by both parent and child.

The product is only going on sale from April 7 but Firefly has had a massive response to preliminary marketing.

The Upsee allows kids to do things which they may not have been able to do before  such as walk, walk longer distances, participate in sports and also play more mobile games with their friends and family.

Take a look at the Firefly website to find out more about this remarkable invention for parents and young children:

It’s crazy just how simple the concept is- you watch these kids in action and wonder why no one ever made this creative leap before.

Maybe you have the next big idea?

Debby, the designer, acknowledges that her design came from a place of pain and desperation and the desire to give her child more opportunities in life.

Just imagine how many parents could have brilliant ideas stored away, ideas that could change lives across the globe…

What product would most change life for you and your family?
