An action figure with more emotion

Since dolls for girls have just improved in the sense of teaching them their worth and that there's more to them than pink princess dresses, it was about time that boys’ toys were a little modified a bit too.

Instead of action figures with scars on their faces, lasers shooting from their eyes, torn clothes, green skin, flying powers and wolf teeth now there’s a more normal looking guy with normal hair, normal clothes and shoes and does normal things like camping and working at a desk. He even sleeps!

This everyday kind of guy is called Generation Grit and he is here to show your son a more sensitive side of life

I’m sure this figure was not invented to phase out the old faithful action figure, he is just here to show your boy that he’s also allowed to want to be a normal working guy; maybe like dad.

For the more sensitive boy

The brand of toys will resemble a boy version of the American Girl doll and he will show qualities such as; kindness, empathy, resourcefulness, curiosity and grit.

The brand has not made it to the shelves yet, but when it does, the first Generation Grit boy will come with a book and accessories, he will be a 14-year-old character from the 1940s called Mac Mason whose interests include baseball, camping and ciphers.

A Californian mom launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund her project, already managing to raise about a quarter of her 75 000 dollar goal.

According to Huffpost Parents, the description to Generation Grit is to teach young boys that there are more than one way to be strong.

“Boys deserve more than Ken and G.I Joe”.
