Even though we’re in South Africa, we still get rainy days. What’s your favourite rainy-day thing to do?

My favourite rainy-day thing to do is to make things! Sometimes I choose my favourite make and try and make it in a minute!

What’s your favourite food to eat, and why?
Hamburgers – because they are delicious!

How do you come up with all of your amazing ideas?
I get inspiration from everyday things I see in the world around us. Even if you have used something before it can always be used again. I collect them all in my doodle drawers

Where can we get our hands on a set of Doodle Drawers? Can we still make things even if we don’t have them?
Oh of course! Anyone can have a doodle drawers. You just need to find something like a box or a jar and anything you spot around pop into your very own doodle draws!

You’re always so happy! Is there anything that makes you feel sad?
If I was ever feeling sad I would go to my doodle drawers and make something really wacky to make me feel happy again!

Mister Maker, what do you think are the most popular projects that you’ve ever done?
Well I know everyone enjoys the alien googly eyes make – that’s a really whacky, cool make!

Can you REALLY do those things in under a minute?

Yes all of the minute makes are done in under a minute. It is sometimes really tough and I have to work very quickly but they are all definitely in a minute.

What’s the messiest mess you’ve ever made?
Oh we’re always making messy mess! It’s part of the fun! As long as you help your Mum’s and Dad’s to clear it up!

Being in different countries must give you lots of new ideas. Do you have any special ideas which you’ve got from being in South Africa?
Most definitely. I am always picking up new ideas when visiting other fantastic countries!

Did you ever make a big mistake by accident?

I don’t think there is anything in making which can be called a mistake! You can just make it more unique!

My mum asks, can you come and live with us?
Ha! That is very kind but after this fantastic trip I am going to go back to London and see the mini makers back there.

Do you make everything yourself, or do you have a helper?
Everything on the show I make myself however, we do have a team of lovely helpers.

Have you always had a passion for making things?
Definitely! I love the fact that everyone can have a go and that everyone’s makes are special and unique
