Your child's first sleepover will probably be something they never forget. Whether it's at a friend's house or staying the night with granny and grandpa, that little bit of freedom that comes with not sleeping in your own bed is scary but fun.
We asked our Facebook and Twitter users what their family's sleepover policy is.
Here are some of their answers:
My son slept out for first time when when he was 10. My daughter still hasn't and she is 11. I have to know the parents really well before any sleepovers will be allowed. - @jenspykerman
They can have them once they start sleeping! - @Tori79
Unless it's over with the grandparent, the answer is no. I'm happy to cater a sleepover though. - Umna Adams
My 8-year-old has had 3 sleepovers and she got sick after each one! No more sleepovers for us. - Margo Prowse
Grandparents and aunt only for my 2 boys (3 and 8 years old)! - Rebecca Van Eeden
