Suri shouldn’t cruise in high-heeled shoes

accreditation
Poor Suri Cruise. The pressure of cameras flashing seems to have driven her famous parents to dress her up inappropriately. Her shoe collection is already vast, and she’s said to insist on the heels she wears.

While some fans may think she’s cute as she totters around in high-heeled shoes, doctors advise that incorrect footwear can damage the sensitive feet of infants and growing children.

According to the South African Podiatry Association, heels higher than 1.5 cm for children under the age of 16 can lead to developmental deformities. Don’t allow young girls to wear even little heels! A small heel on a young child is equivalent to a higher heel in an adult, and can interfere with natural foot, ankle, knee, hip and spinal structural development.

So, for the sake of a few cute pics, poor celebrity tot Suri is flirting with health problems, and she’s not alone. Apparently, there’s a huge market in designer footwear for children. Of course, it’s the parents who pay for the shoes, and the child who pays with their health.
