This book takes your child on a journey to space and beyond.
Where can I get it? Kalahari.netWhat we thought:
As any fan of DK knows, their books are absolutely beautiful. Each page is filled with fantastic photography and illustrations, and the cool facts they manage to dig up are enough to blow anyone's mind (even if you're very much an adult). Space is one of those books that will be a treasure on your child's bookshelf. For any child that has ever wondered about the Universe, this is a must-have gift.
Your child will be able to take a look through high-tech telescopes, see inside the NASA space shuttle, meet space pioneers, discover all the planets, investigate black holes and follow the life cycle of a star. It includes fact files, features, discoveries and some of the latest imagery from NASA. The 250 pages kept me riveted for days and I learnt everything I ever wanted to know about space. It's a fantastic book for children of any age - the little ones will love the pictures and the older children (up to the age of 102) will love all the fascinating information. This is a definite on my Christmas gift list.
