What we thought:

The wean machine works well when ‘weaning’ soft things like avo – that’s been my favourite thing to use it for. It’s a little like a large yellow garlic crusher that ‘smooshes’ the food through the small holes.

I’ve used it for avo, cooked sweet potato – it doesn’t work as well for potato and butternut as it needs to be really soft. Broccoli not good at all as you would need to overcook it to make it soft enough to go through the holes – overcooking broccoli leaches its nutrition.

It does help to get things almost smooth, but for a small toddler that needs really smooth stuff, you still need to blend it after you’ve ‘weaned’ it.

Great I think for toddlers who are starting on a bit of texture.
