Sensory play is very important to a toddler's development. This can be any type of play or activity that encourages and enhances the senses. Touch is a very important one and the one that most kids are averse to. So playing with Moon Sand is a great way to learn about different textures and it's just so fun to play with!
Brooke from What's Up Moms shows us how to make homemade Moon Sand to entertain the kids.
How to make it:
You'll need:
1 cup of cornflour
1 cup of shaving cream
1/8 cup liquid dish soap
Colouring (optional)
Method:
Mix the first three ingredients together with a whisk until it's texture of sand.
Then add your colouring if you want.
