Sushi is definitely an acquired taste. I had my first taste when I was about 20 years old, it was a salmon California roll. I chewed it and promptly spat it back out. I was not a fan! To this day I still only eat prawn sushi because it's cooked and I might be tempted to try something with seared tuna.
