The way to wean
Getting your breastfed baby started on other foods is easier with the right accessories. Brought to you by Clicks.

You’re ready, your baby is ready and it’s time to start the weaning process. Don’t rush the process – it can take a month or even two to fully wean your baby, and that allows you both to get used to a new way of doing things.

Ready to start

You will be able to tell when your baby is ready to start weaning when:

  • He wakes up more at night wanting to be fed.
  • He shows an interest in what you are eating.
  • He is growing well and has no specific health problems such as reflux, that may need a doctor’s advice.

    Plan to start weaning:
  • On the weekend, so you have time to get the right food and tools together.
  • When you and your baby are both in good health.
  • In small steps. Change one feed a day to formula, and add solid foods one at a time.
  • When you are good and ready, not when your granny or mom says you should.

It really is much easier to start weaning your baby if you get the right tools. With ideally sized soft tipped spoons, small enough to fit into baby’s mouth, easy grip bowls and non-spill cups with super soft spouts, the Clicks baby care weaning range of products are ideal.

Say farewell to spills
Every cup in the Clicks baby care feeding accessories range comes complete with a non-spill valve, making it easy to avoid messy leaks and spills! This valve has been cleverly designed to provide a smooth drinking action and a steady flow of liquid from four months old. As baby grows the valve self-adjusts to allow more liquid flow. The stronger the baby sucks the faster the flow, which allows the same valve to be used in all the cups from the Clicks baby care range.
