Doughy exploration

This dough is not messy and can be stored so it can be used again and again.

  • Mix together 2 cups of flour, 4 tablespoons of cream of tarter, 1 cup of salt and 2 cups of boiling water in a bowl.
  • Once the mixture has formed a dough, add a few drops of food colouring and mix well with your hands.
  • Let your toddler choose the colours she wants and involve her with the mixing.
  • Provide a rolling pin and a few cookie cutters. Play with her or let her play while you busy yourself with getting dinner on the go.
