Jamie and I are obsessed with making healthy food both fun and a norm for kids. My toddler doesn't know about Happy Meals and I'm hoping to keep it that way for a long time. He loves Provitas, carrots and the odd tree (broccoli). But healthy eating can be both expensive and time consuming, the two greatest enemies of parents everywhere.

Jamie has declared 15th May 2015 Food Revolution Day and has challenged parents and schools to teach their kids the skills to live longer, happier and healthier lives. According to his website "42 million children under the age of five either overweight or obese across the world and the next generation will live shorter lives than their parents if nothing is done to rectify this".
5 tips on how to make food fun with kids
1. Use your imagination to make the food exciting.
2. Give your child a special job in the kitchen (not washing the dishes!)
3. Give ingredients fun nicknames - eg. "noisy peas"
4. Make cooking a family activity
5. Expose them to "adult" food early on - they just might like it!
