Dad builds daughters an incredible two-storey playhouse

Many young girls dream of having a playhouse or castle to host their very important tea parties with their imaginary friends.

Well, one dad made his daughters’ dreams come true after building them an incredible two-storey, fully furnished, lavish playhouse – leaving the internet in total awe!

Adam Boyd, from Michigan in the US, spent his spare time last year building a playing abode for his daughters, Avery (5) and Violet (2). 

Little Avery even helped her handy dad during the building process by picking up rubbish, sweeping the dusty floors as well as painting the adorable playhouse.

“It gave me some daddy-daughter time and I was able to teach her my skills, and that was pretty cool,” a proud Adam told People Magazine. 

The dad-of-two hadn’t planned on building such an extravagant den for his kids – on the contrary, Adam was aiming for a rather modest playhouse.

“I wanted to do something special, something they’d be proud of and one day tell their friends that their dad built this for them.

“I got to a point where I just asked myself, ‘Why stop now?’” says Adam.

The father, who has incredible woodworking skills, ended up adding exciting features such as a rock climbing wall, slide, swings and a cute little loft. The inside of the playhouse is fitted with wooden floors, a sofa, and pink and purple painted walls.  

“I didn’t really know how Avery and Violet were going to react,” he says. “I didn’t know if they were going to use it, or if it was just going to be a really nice pink office for my business.”

Adam – the founder of a residential remodelling business, ATP Building – worried about his daughters not liking their new playhouse but the pair now hosts tea parties with friends and eat at the miniature kitchen table daily.

“My wife and the girls went up there and ate lunch in it all summer. She’s a teacher so they spent a lot of time out there,” Adam told ABC News. 

The pictures of the lavish playhouse were posted on Facebook by the proud dad and have garnered more than 28 000 likes and 48 000 shares by people who totally love his masterpiece.

“What a wonderful dream come true for your daughters. Such an amazing dad you are to them,” says one Facebook user.

“That’s the most amazing thing I've seen!” says another.
