Just the thought that my husband could die and I'd have to continue living my life, raising my beautiful children without their dad, is beyond imagining. I'm anxious just typing this.

But it really happened for Antoine Leiris, whose wife Helene got shot and killed in Paris in the Bataclan attack claimed by Isis.

Antoine posted a beautiful tribute to his wife and defiant message on his Facebook page, which went viral within hours. BBC News asked Antoine to read his letter and they recorded it in Paris.

Gripping.

Big salut to Antoine and all the other spouses, parents, children, siblings and friends who lost their loved ones, wherever, whenever. May you be granted peace.
