Nothing but pizza for 8 years!
When a child eats only pizza for breakfast, lunch and supper for 8 years who is to blame?
When I first saw this story on the Mail Online I was more than shocked. Only Margherita pizza for every meal for 8 years? I love a Margherita pizza (with banana, please) but to eat only that for 8 full years? It seems a little more than crazy to me.

The pizza fiend in question, Sophie Ray, is only 19 years old and began her pizza fest when she was 11 years old. She hasn't had a proper meal since the age of 2 though. Her fear of regular food began when she had a bout of gastro. It was then that she began eating only cheesy pasta, chips and lemon curd sandwiches.

Sounds awful to be honest.

Selective Eating Disorder

Sophie has not touched a fruit or vegetable in years and says the thought of eating a varied meal terrifies her. She suffers from a condition called Selective Eating Disorder (SED), which means she has a phobia of almost all foods. Her phobia has led to years of high-fat food which could eventually mean heart disease and high cholesterol for Sophie.

I have to admit that to me it seems like someone just got her own way for a long time. And yes, I completely blame her parents. But no, I'm not ruling out that she has an eating disorder.

It's a parent's job and responsibility to make sure that their children eat healthy and balanced meals. Her diet as a 2 year old was already unhealthy and yet it was allowed to continue. Perhaps if Sophie had been taken to a doctor at an early age, she wouldn't be the extremely unhealthy college student that she is now.
