US teenager Nash Grier isn’t particularly special, except for his savvy handling of social media. With no professional help at all, the teen has attracted 1.4 million followers to his seven-second Vine videos account, says the
. In addition, the regular kid has collected 80 000 Twitter followers and 230 000 Instagram fans.12 minutes of fame
It’s his short Vine videos
that people love most. Even though his 125 Vines amount to a total of just 12 minutes of footage, his goofy videos of teens doing silly teen stuff, a dog doing regular dog stuff and other family members being slightly dippy have hit the right note with his audience.
Is it in his eyes?
It may be tricky for an adult to grasp why he’s so popular until you read the comments he attracts. Most of them have to do with his “dreamy eyes”, and seem to be made by fans of One Direction…

Despite being the 25th most popular Vine user, Nash has resisted monetising his success, with his dad sying that his son is happy simply being Nash.
