The brilliant Stellenberg Girls Choir, conducted by Andre van der Merwe, give a taste of the works that they are to perform at the World Choir Games in Cincinnati, US, in July 2012.

On the basis of their previous triumphs at the World Choir games and other international choir events, this choir was judged the best youth choir and one of the 10 best amateur choirs in the world.

The choir has a powerful pedigree- since being formed in 1999, it has performed consistently well, bringing home prizes and praise whenever it participates in competitions and festivals. It is also featured regularly on television and radio.

Not only does the choir manage to win competitions, the members are proud ambassadors of South Africa as they share their talents with the world.
It’s great to hear about kids who are achieving rewards for hard work and making South Africa a country to be reckoned with on the world stage. Why not check out a clip of this talented group.

Do you think the choir will bring home awards this year?
