Having your teen addicted to drugs is a terrible thing for a parent. Here's how to help your kid through this.

As a parent, discovering that your teen is on drugs is one of the most horrifying and disappointing things you can go through. Everyday items such as headache tablets are even getting crushed up to be sniffed.

The blame game

It's easy to play the blame game. Were the parent's not attentive enough? Is the child just unruly and bends easily to peer pressure. But this helps no one. Parents should look out for these drugs and kinds of behaviour if they suspect anything and try to help their children through this. Is it just a phase they're going through? Experimenting? Or is there something a lot more serious going on?

Get them help

Lots of parents just aren't sure. Here are signs to look for if you suspect that your child is taking drugs. But ignorance and denial are not the way to deal with a drug problem. There are better ways to deal with the situation.

Even school seem to be stepping up to the plate with random drug testing and discouraging the use of drugs.
