Ever licked the one end of a red Smartie to apply the Ruby Woo shade your lips needed because your mom just wouldn’t buy you make-up when you were 10? Because, same. All I ever wanted when I was growing up was to paint my face every shade of my 64-piece Crayola crayon set and now, I finally can! I kid you not, Crayola just teamed up with ASOS to launch Crayola Beauty – a 58-piece makeup collection, and we are all kinds of excited!

With 24 shades of stick foundations as well as lip and cheek crayons, highlighters, mascara, brushes and palettes for your eyes, face and lips, it seems you’ll be able to stock up on everything you need to make up (excuse the pun) your very own collection. And from what we can see on the ASOS site, nothing exceeds 25 pounds (R430). The collection makes a great gift for teens and is available online from ASOS. And imagine the face-painting fairy in the corner's delight when you present her with a box at the next kiddies birthday party.

The products look exactly like the crayons you might have used growing up – they’re even packaged in their iconic yellow chevron-striped box – and are available in shades such as Mauvelous, Fuzzy Wuzzy and Eggplant – in case you’ve had the urge to colour your lips a dark purple.

But we kinda love that about the collection. You can be as creative as you want with these new crayons and now, finally, your face can literally be your canvas.

Would you use these Crayola Beauty products? Would you let your children use them? Or do you feel they're still a little too young for makeup? Tell us by commenting below.
