Children with body issues

accreditation
In a recent interview with British Vogue, soulful songstress Adele revealed how she can't stand Hollywood's obsession with being skinny.

The curvaceous star has been an inspiration for those who don't make Hollywood's 'size 0' standard. She admits to having body issues but refuses to be swayed by what other people see as the 'right' body type.

Unfortunately there are so many prominent role models who don't have the same views. Children watch the media for inspiration of what they should look like. With celebrities being obsessed with skinny jeans, big boobs and the perfect lips, how can we expect our children to feel that they're good enough?

But what should a parent do when their kids show signs of having extreme body issues?

We've collected a few articles that tackle that very matter:

The Botoxed 8-year-old
Unutterable meanness of teenage girls
My daughter: the 'late starter'
Teen vegetarian or diet problem?
Filling the void, purging the pain

Now it's your turn to share. How do your children feel about their bodies? Vote and comment below.
