It's not often that a young person with so very little time on this planet gets to make a real difference in people's lives. This is exactly what Zach Sobiech had the chance to do.

At the age of 14, Zach was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called osteosarcoma. At 17 he was told that the cancer had spread and he had only a year left to live. Instead of giving in and waiting to die, Zach decided to do something meaningful with the time he had left.

Zach Sobiech is not your average young man and his desire was to raise money for other young people like him who had been diagnosed with cancer. He achieved his goal.

Zach wrote a song that quickly reached over 7 million views on YouTube, hit number 7 on the Billboard charts and reached number 1 on the iTunes top-selling singles chart. All of the money is going to help Zach's family and for children's cancer research.

A few months before Zach passed away on the 20th of May 2013, 'Clouds' was released. And it is beautiful.

How do you encourage your children to make a difference in the world?
