When it comes to cooking for kids, it’s easy.

I know, I just heard you choke on your coffee, it’s not the cooking part that’s hard, it’s the eating.

How do you convince your little darling that broccoli is ‘just so good for you’, and the squishy bit inside tomatoes is really where all the goodness is. You don’t.

You turn into a Houdini mama and learn how to hide all the good-for-you bits in not-good-for-you looking food. It’s an art, and though a bit high maintenance at times, at least I know Louis, my 14 month old, is not living on pieces of cheese and rusks that have been dragged across the hairy carpet a few times.

Raspberry knows how to get her kids eating with fun Spongebob Squarepants food and Spicy_kicks knows that making something delicious is the way to go!

It’s quite fun really, and I’ve let you in on a few of our easy recipes and tips to try for yourselves.

Sausage pasta

This is brilliant, just poke the pasta through the sausage and cook in boiling water until the pasta is ready.

Another name for this really cute food is 'squidys'. I'm sure the kids will love that. Because who doesn't like to play with their food?

I suggest adding some plain pasta to the dish otherwise there will be too much sausage.

Serve with the ‘special tomato sauce’ to boost it’s nutritional value and there you have it!

How cool?
