Parent24 : Toddler 1-2 : health safety : Are you a neat freak?

Are you a neat freak?

Do kids with grubby hands and faces drive you crazy? Or do you prefer a little dirt in your child's life? Vote and have your say.

Are you a neat freak?

Little children have a knack for getting as messy as possible whenever they can. They're also bound to put that dirty leaf in their mouth. How do you react when those things happen? Do you laugh it off or rush them to the basin to clean up?

We asked our Facebook fans how important hygiene is in their homes.

This is what they had to say:

To an extent - children do need to be exposed to germs for their immune systems. Toilet hygiene is a biggy with no exceptions (especially with a 2-year-old boy who insists on weeing like dad and ends up touching the toilet rim). - Tracey Bevan

We are definitely clean in terms of personal hygiene but try not to be OTT. At the end of the day kids are kids and are supposed to be barefoot, dirty and have fun. Soap cleans it all off at the end of the day. - Allison Wainwright

Yes... but I'm not a perfectionist about it. - Lizette Nolte Pienaar

Clean freak, that's what the hubby calls me. There's nothing more important. - Veloshni Naidoo
