'They have managed to capture the Springboks perfectly' - Striking portraits of the Bokke created by local Grade 4 class

They'll remember this forever.'
They'll remember this forever.'

It's safe to say that we'll probably be celebrating the Bokke's World Cup victory for months, nay, years to come.

The victory will not be getting old anytime soon.

It's been truly inspiring to see just how much SA's RWC win has become a source of renewed hope for our nation's future, especially for our children.

A "very proud teacher" at a local all-girls school, Tara Lang, got in touch with us to share the beautiful portraits her Grade 4 Art class created in honour of the Bokke.

Tara told Parent24 that she had tasked each of her girls to draw a specific Springbok rugby player as a way of teaching them face proportions, and was impressed at how passionate they were becoming about their art in the weeks leading up to the finals.

"As an all-girls school, I was amazed at how excited the girls were to get involved... Some of the girls were so inspired they decided to come at break times to finish their portraits in time for the final game on Saturday."

The St Cyprians Prep art teacher also shared just how excited her class was when they returned to school after the weekend game.

"When the girls came to school on Monday, they were really proud and kept telling me about the game, the team, their highlights, and how this is something they will remember forever."

Of what her girls have done with their artwork, Tara says "they have managed to capture the Springboks perfectly and I am a very proud teacher."
