All is calm. The children are playing peacefully.

Is it safe to make that important call now? Should you risk it?

You dial, you listen to the line ring on the other end.

"Hello?"

"Hi! Thanks for taking my call. I've been wanting to talk to you about..."

"MOM! DAD!"

All hell breaks lose, the children are fighting each other for your attention, you can't hear yourself think and you have to end the call in a hurry, apologising profusely with promises to call again when you a moment.

Many working parents will relate to this scenario.

But on live TV?

However, not many of us work on live TV so the chances of being interrupted at work by a small person in front of an audience of millions is small.

But not impossible, as this newsreader mom discovered on live TV:

This is the hilarious moment mom Anna Kizilova's daughter interrupted a live bulletin to tell her she has a text message.

The incident took place during a live broadcast for TaghilTV in Nizhniy Taghil, Russia, in 2012, and the little girl can clearly be seen walking on to set and handing a phone to her mom, who is in the middle of a live broadcast.

The mortified mom tries to discreetly push her daughter Elizaveta out of shot, but the girl insists "But mum, you have a message."

Look, it could have been worse - as any parent who's been interrupted with "I need a poo" or "Look at this sleeping (dead) bird I found" will know.

BBC dad leads the way

This dad made headlines when he was interrupted by not one but two little tykes, in the middle of a serious interview on the topic of South Korea.

But the real hero of the day was his wife, who dived in and cleared the room in moments - in front of an entire country.

You can read that story here: To the mom who leopard-crawled to save her husband's BBC interview

Even if you've watched it hundreds of times (like I may have done) here it is again:
