The State's fraud case against Craig Warriner, the investment manager behind the scandal-ridden BHI Trust, has been postponed to allow AfriForum to contribute to the proceedings.

Warriner, the former chair of the Old Boys' Association of St Stithians College in Johannesburg, appeared briefly in the Palm Ridge Commercial Crimes Court on Wednesday before the matter was adjourned to 27 May. He remains in custody.

The 60-year-old is accused of defrauding 220 people of around R1.2 billion in a pyramid scheme that ran for a decade before it collapsed in August last year.
