The Information Regulator is close to finalising its investigation into FNB after a banking app glitch caused a security compromise last year, which resulted in the personal information of home loan applicants being leaked.
The issue stemmed from a technical glitch that accidentally gave some FNB customers access to the functionalities afforded to authorised FNB staff.
Information Regulator spokesperson Nomzamo Zondi told News24 that the assessment process into the complaint has almost been finalised.
