"Neil is awesome; he's an awesome character. And he just gave [Koro] this kind of life and presence," said Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes director Wes Ball.

South African actor Neil Sandilands has further elevated his illustrious career by securing a pivotal role in the third instalment of the iconic franchise. This chapter unfolds several generations after Caesar's reign, portraying a future where apes have become the dominant species, coexisting peacefully, while humans are relegated to a shadowy existence.

During a roundtable interview, he further revealed that Sandilands auditioned for several roles, "I was like, we got to have this guy in the movie somehow.
