"I look for purity of light." - Graham Weerts, winemaker and managing director of Capensis. 

Graham Weerts is an Elsenburger. Born in Cape Town, a SACS (South African College Schools) boy, he attended Elsenburg the same year as Adi Badenhorst and Mark van Buuren (Anthonij Rupert Wyne), only a year or so after Eben Sadie and Marc Kent of Boekenhoutskloof. He attained full colours in hockey, possibly the only Elsenburger to do so back then (rugby being the sport of choice), and started making wine under the great sauvignon master Mike Dobrovic of Mulderbosch.
