There were cheers on the ground at the George building collapse on Tuesday evening as two construction workers were rescued from under the rubble.
A prayer meeting was held by the local community on Tuesday evening, with many people holding candles.
The George Municipality issued a statement to confirm that seven people had been declared dead as of 19:40.
